    Housing Information 
    Basic Allowance For Housing (BAH) gives active service members two options for housing; living on base or finding a home off-base within the community.

    • Once you have orders to move, contact The Housing Services Office (229) 257-4417. They will provide you with the latest information on local housing, offer referral services and relocation assistance.  

    Moody AFB On Base Housing  

    • Unaccompanied Housing (229) 257-2682 is reserved for airmen with less than 3 years of service, within the rank of E1-E4. You are provided with private sleeping room, furnishings, bed linens and supplies required for comfortable living. 

    • Moody on-base housing is privatized and operated by both Hunt Military Communities (888) 698-3020, which offers 2-4 bedroom single family homes based upon rank and family size. They are a pet friendly community with washer & dryer hookups in all homes–and Beaufort Beatty Communities (229) 242-4314, which offers 3-4 bedroom single family homes based upon rank and family size. Their homes feature two car garages, fully equipped kitchens and washer/dryer hookups. The community amenities include: fitness center, pool and playgrounds.

    Valdosta, Georgia, is the closest major city to Moody 54,000 people. It takes about 30 minutes from downtown Valdosta to Moody. Valdosta is a small city and retains a small community feel. This area of Georgia, on the Florida border, is fairly low and flat, with a lot of wooded and open wetland.
